A History..

The idea to put on a music festival in Codicote started after organisers saw the success of the Bramfield Festival in 2006, just a few miles from Codicote. With that in mind, they began to toy with idea of a festival in their own village, and Codifest was born. Over the later months of 2006 and early months of 2007, preparations were made, bands were booked and authorities informed that the Codifest commitee were planning to stage the event, and on July 28th 2007, the first ever 'Codifest' kicked off.

Last year saw almost 2000 people through the doors over the course of the day, a massive success with a top line up including blues rock heavyweights The Hamsters headlining the event. Good weather also blessed the festival's first year, right up until the very last band took to the stage! The commitee had achieved what they had set out to do, bring the village and surrounding towns together for a full day of top entertainment and celebration. Here's to 2008!
